Itapoá introduces new maneuvering yard as part of expansion plans

Last week, Itapoá Port brought onstream an area measuring 60,000m² to be used as a maneuvering yard.
This is part of the port’s expansion plans, which include adding another 40,000m² to the yard by May 2018.
By May, extension work to the pier will also be completed, making it 800m in length.
The expansion work will increase the port’s cargo handling capacity from 500,000 TEUs to 1.2m TEUs per year.
